Brocket Gear was set up in 2014 by three friends who are adventure running enthusiasts. Adam, Josh and Paul trained together in the British Army and throughout the past 10 years they have completed in a variety of Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) and adventure races around the globe. They have worn a range of apparel and footwear during training and while competing, so it is only appropriate they bring the best adventure fitness gear to you.
Adam is a top class ultra runner and recently completed the Marathon Des Sables (MDS), The Bullock Smithy, The Fellsman and numerous other mountain marathons and ultras. Adam's most notable achievement was coming 55th overall in the MDS (9th Brit, 1,000+ starters). His dedication and training routines are an inspiration to us all. Watch out for his blogs and personal training tips. If Adam can offer one piece of advice it would be to give anything a go, but take your time getting fit as it won't come overnight.
Josh has completed many mountain marathons including the Mourne Mountain Marathon 3 times. He has also smashed a number of road marathons throughout the country (with a PB of 3.03) and has most recently competed in various OCR events such as Rat Race, Hell Runner, Tough Guy and the Spartan series. Josh's advice for training is to work hard but listen to your body to avoid injury or overtraining.
Paul has lived in a number of countries over the past ten years, which has allowed him to compete in a variety of different events, from Tough Guy New Zealand to Thailand Island hill sprints. His most notable achievement was finishing in the top 10 of the Kaweka Challenge, a gruelling ultra-mountain marathon in the Kaweka mountains - the highest endurance race in New Zealand. Paul's top tip - lube yourself to the max!
